Jack Bruce: Just how much history can you cram into one little intro block about the great Jack Bruce? Whether you spent breathless months coming down from the Cream reunion concerts or were lucky enough to catch his more recent Celtic Connections Gerry Rafferty tribute show or his date with Phil Manzanera (mind you'd have to live in Cuba to have seen that one), or you're just looking forward to his Spectrum Road dates in the USA this summer there's plenty to get excited about, not least for us UK dwellers as Jack and his Big Blues Band will be appearing at...

The Stranglers: We could say that the stranglers haven't really been the same band since Hugh Cornwell buggered off but Jean-Jacques Burnel has been known to give a hefty cuff to upstart journo's before now so we won't.

Gilbert O'Sullivan: Best known for his 1970s hits 'Alone Again (Naturally)', 'Clair' and 'Get Down' - music magazine Record Mirror actually voted him the No. 1 UK male singer of 1972 - Sullivan has nonetheless continued to write, record and tour ever since (aside from an extended hiatus when he sued his management company for loss of earnings, and won £7 million in 1982). He recently signed on the dotted line with legacy label Hypertension, a record company that also handles Leo Sayer and Chris DeBurgh.

Ian Anderson Band:

Ian Anderson and band will take to the road in April 2012 for a 19 date UK tour commemorating the 40th Anniversary of Jethro Tull’s 1972 prog rock classic Thick As A Brick, playing the album, as is currently rather popular, in its entirety with, we are told a ‘theatrical production with video, additional musicians and a troupe of dancing elephants. (Hmmm....) .
