As you will already be aware if you keep a weather eye on the news pages (and if you don't, consider yourself ticked off: Ed), Experience Hendrix LLC and Sony Commercial Music Group are today (March 8th 2010) preceding a full back catalogue re-release schedule with an album featuring 12 ‘all new’ Jimi Hendrix recordings entitled Valleys of Neptune. Boasting over 60 minutes of music never commercially available on a Jimi Hendrix album before and centred around tracks recorded as he struggled to find a new direction when the Jimi Hendrix Experience dissolved after the recording of Electric Ladyland (a more funk based direction which, had he survived, would have resulted in First Rays of the New Rising Sun), and we have five of these little beauties to give away...
